Review: The Wedding Shop

The Wedding Shop by Rachel Hauck has lead me to a new Christian romance fiction writer that I definitely plan on reading more of! I did not read the first book in this series: The Wedding Dress but it did not impact my reading of this book whatsoever.

This book hops between eras -- from the 1930's to present day -- as the story of a wedding shop comes full circle. The characters are clear and concise. I love when I can read a book and follow each character and their descriptions clearly. The romance was tastefully done. And, as I always appreciate, Christ factoring in so clearly but not in a way that is not natural. He is intertwined beautifully into the story.

Also, I must add a side-note. I do not know if it was intentional, but I always appreciate a story where kids are not the "natural" next step to marriage. This was included here. As someone who didn't find children the easy way, this is always encouraging to read -- that a couple can find love despite not having the children they so longingly desired.

Bravo Ms. Hauck! You have a new fan here in Tennessee! Your writing suits me perfectly! A lot like you hope your wedding dress does! :)

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booklookbloggers.com in exchange for my honest review!
