JB got a box in the mail the other day filled with goodies (including Girl Scout Cookies). It also came with this note:

I cannot tell you what mail means to people overseas. We are only "deployed in place" and still, when one of the red packaging slips shows up in our box, we are ecstatic. Please consider supporting our troops. There are so many organizations that can help you in sending things to those individuals working for our country overseas. Whether you agree with our role over here has nothing to do with the fact that people are spending significant time away from their families for you!

When I was in Kuwait, we would clamor for these boxes :). The ones from family were definitely wonderful and appreciated, but the ones from the different support groups were absolutely amazing. Who doesn't like to read about how awesome they are?! Plus we would take all of the items that we didn't need, and mail them on to the FOBs in place that had absolutely nothing. I love those boxes!
